My name is Eric. I am 52 years old, and I’ve been a rather active distance
runner and triathlete for nearly 30 years. I’ve done over 70 triathlons of all distances
(eight ironman triathlons) and a couple hundred running races of all
shapes/sizes.
For the past 30 years, I’ve been blessed (and that’s the
best way of putting it) to be relatively injury free, apart from the occasional
shin splint, bloody toenail, plantar fasciitis., etc. I’ve run nearly 9 out of every 10 days for
the past 20 years, often with double workouts during more intensive periods.
(This last sentence should be the first clue of my stupidity, particularly for
“my age,” and it’s something that I’ve now learned the hard way).
