The following account documents my own experience being
diagnosed and treated for a femoral neck stress fracture. I am writing this, because there were very
few patient blogs that described certain symptoms of the FNSF, especially
during the recovery phase. Please take my experiences for what they are – my
own, meaning that I fully recognize that everyone will go through this injury
differently. Your diagnosis and healing will most certainly be unique, though
perhaps through my writing you will see similar symptoms (both physical and
mental) to what you’ve had to endure. If this helps, then I’m happy.
I want to emphasize from the start - I was "lucky" to have a treatable fracture - one that didn't complete. I've seen enough images on the web of people who had it much, much worse than I, and my heart goes out to them all.
Also ... please forgive me ... this is honestly my first attempt at posting anything related to a "blog" or otherwise.
I hope this helps anyone going through this.
